a skill than can be learned and mastered. Negotiation is a multi-level skill. It is not enough just to bake the cake and split it, althought
those are indeed the two first levels. Just as important is the art of selling the piece of cake (which, excuse the pun, is not a piece of cake)
and the long term view on being in the baking business in the first place.

Yet another way to see this four-way skill set is to master power negotiations, negotiation analysis, social skills and principles. With that skill
set one maximizes the payoff, create the best added value, make the counterparty satisfied with their deal. Finally, one creates trust,
reputation and long term relationships.
In contrast, a weak negotiator overuses power, don't think creatively or intellectually about all possibilities, handle the social intearction
poorly and suffer from bad reputation.
Negotiation is a skill, however, that can be learned with straightforward training.
